Just 23 miles north of downtown Austin sits the suburb of Leander, TX. This once sleepy community has risen in the ranks as the #1 Fastest-Growing City in the U.S. per a recent U.S. census report. That’s right - #1 in the country, not just the state! The city spans both Williamson and Travis counties and boasts the exemplary-rated Leander ISD.

Eight tennis courts, six basketball courts, a playscape plus miles of hike and bike trails keep residents busy...and active. The Quarry Splash Pad is a popular destination to cool off during the summer.

Active Community
Strolling through Old Town Leander is always a treat with shops, restaurants, breweries, and wineries lining the streets - something for everyone. The city knows how to celebrate - over the summer, there’s the Old Town Street Festival and during the holidays a favorite event is the Old Town Christmas Festival. The Old Town Farmer’s Market is held every Saturday morning.
Elsewhere in town, the Leander Liberty Fest is one of the most popular 4th of July events in the area. Live music, food, kid’s activities, and fireworks to cap off the day are all crowd pleasers. Check out a list of events here.
The Capital Metro Train includes a Leander station and gives direct access to downtown Austin. Leander has become a sought after location for many new developments and housing projects. The highly-anticipated Northline project will be a new downtown Leander district including restaurants, retail, hotels, offices, and residential options. Of course, public common areas will be included too, allowing the community to take a break and enjoy the ‘contemporary meets Texas Hill Country’ scenery.
