A new restaurant is opening in Steiner Ranch! Komal Latin Kitchen & Bar has their grand opening date set for October 27th where Galaxy Cafe used to be - 5000 North Quinlan Park in the Quinlan Crossing shopping center. This family owned restaurant features cuisine inspired by the travels across Latin America experienced by owner Rolando Osario and the cooking talents of Mrs. Gloria Molina (aka Abu Tuly).
The new spot is self-described as a ‘gastro-travel experience’ that will take customers through the Caribbean, Mexico, and Argentina. Featuring a dine-in and takeout menu, it fits the bill for an evening out, or a yummy meal at home.
The menu is varied, so everyone in your party should feel catered to. From traditional and signature dishes (Peruvian Pollo A Las Brasas we’re coming for you) all-day specialities (Salvadoran Pupusas), to standard favorites like burgers (hello, bacon burger) they’ve got you covered. They even have a kids menu with 7 items to choose from, and are only $5 and include a drink.
Their handcrafted cocktails uphold the quality of their ingredients as well. Grab a Brazilian Caipirinha (stirred, Brazilian cachaça, fresh muddled lime, sugar, and a splash of soda) or other fresh cocktail, a Latin American wine or beer, or a local favorite.
Every weekend is a brunch weekend, from 9AM-3PM Saturday and Sunday. Lunch specials during the week from 11AM-2PM are $12, and kids eat free on Wednesdays. Senior citizens can enjoy 30% off any entree Mondays-Thursdays from 4PM-6PM.
